Michael Westemeier is in his fifth year as sports information director at Ripon College. Michael operates the statistical programs for all Red Hawk sports, while also supervising a staff of several student assistants. In addition, Michael maintains the athletic website for all 20 intercollegiate sports. Michael is also involved with some fundraising, including the Friends of Ripon Athletics.

Michael received his Master’s of Business Administration in June of 2006 from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. While at SAU, Michael served as the graduate assistant for sports information, where he was the media contact for football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball.

Prior to his time at St. Ambrose, Michael attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill., where he received his Bachelors of Arts in 2003, while majoring in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. Michael is originally from Galena, Ill., and currently resides in Ripon.

Location: The Ripon Sports Information Office is located in Room 113 in the athletic offices at J.M. Storzer Athletic Center, located at the intersection of Thorne and Union Streets on the Ripon College campus.

Photographers: There is plenty of space for photographers surronding the court and/or field. They are allowed anywhere behind the sidelines and baselines. During football games, photographers are allowed between the 25-yard lines and the back of the endzone.

Media Credentials: Credentials are not required, but members of the media are asked to contact the Sports Information Office if they plan on attending a Ripon College home or away game so arrangements can be made at Storzer Center or at an away site.

Interviews: Coaches are available in their office during the week. Call ahead for best available times to talk with a coach. Players are also available for interviews after practice. Any other player interviews can be arranged by calling the Sports Information Office at (920) 748-8770.
