RIPON, Wis. - Ripon College is proud to partner with the NCAA for this year's "Take A Kid to the Game® Day", which will be held on Friday, February 5, against Grinnell College. The women's and men's games will take place at 5 and 7 p.m., respectively at Storzer Center in Ripon, Wis. Kids ages 12 and under are invited
to attend this special event and will receive a free ticket with the purchase of
a full-priced adult ticket.
The kids in attendance will have the opportunity to experience the college game-day
atmosphere and compete in activities for a chance to win prizes. They will also have the opportunity to receive autographs from Ripon's men's and women's players after their respective games.
Ripon College is one of more than 700 schools across the nation that will be taking part in the "Take A Kid to the Game" (TAKG) program, which is in its 14th season.
The project is a grass roots initiative that attracts the nation’s youth and encourages adults to
take kids to area college basketball games.
"We are thrilled to invite area youths to our campus and have them cheer the Red Hawks to victory. It is our hope that adults in the community will bring their children out to experience a collegiate athletic event at Ripon College," said Ripon College Athletic Director Bob Gillespie. "We’re expecting the crowd to be a part of the intense basketball action at both our women's and men's games."
Tickets for this special game are $5 for adults and can be
purchased at the door. For More information, please contact the Ripon College sports information department at (920) 748-8770, or e-mail Allison Jensen at jensena@ripon.edu.
