RIPON, Wis. - The Midwest Conference released its All-Conference team Monday, with a pair of Red Hawks making the list. Senior Jeni Yaeger was the lone Ripon player selected to the first team, while junior Sara Heim earned second team honors. This marks Yaeger's first All-Conference selection, while Heim was selected for the second consecutive season, after being named to the first team last year.
Yaeger led the Red Hawks with 77 blocks this season, including 35 solo, while also ranking second on the team with 124 kills. She also recorded 24 service aces, which was the second-most by a Red Hawk. She also added 131 digs on the year. The senior ended her Ripon career with the seventh-most kills (824) and eighth-most blocks (284) in Ripon history.
Heim earned second team All-Conference honors, while also continuing her assault on the Ripon record books. She led the Red Hawks with 513 digs, which is the seventh-most digs in a single season by a Red Hawk. That also gives her 1,737 career digs, which ranks third in Ripon history. The junior also added 11 assists and three service aces this season.
