Franzen Science Center

The new Franzen Science Center will be a complete renovation of the existing building and will include instrumentation upgrades and more than 19,000 square feet of new construction. Included will be new laboratory, classroom and collaboration spaces. The space will expand the existing structure, originally built in 1961, and is designed to meet the STEM learning needs of science students today and create the flexibility to adapt to needs of the future.

Building Highlights:

  • 68,500 square feet of renovation and expansion
  • More than 19,000 square feet of new construction
  • Instrumentation upgrades, lab flooring, benches and mechanical improvements, LED lighting, white boards and the enhancement of active learning classrooms
  • Energy-efficient windows, lighting and HVAC systems
  • Offsets of our energy use with solar energy

Hopp Stadium

To support Ripon’s continued athletic excellence and enhance the overall student experience, Ripon is building a new 157,000 square-foot on-campus stadium. This mixed-use space will house the football and soccer teams, allow for a better fan experience for students and families, and provide a setting for concerts, intramurals and other student and community activities.

Building Highlights:

  • 2,000-seat grandstand and press box
  • A formal entrance on the corner of Thorne and Union streets
  • Viewing opportunities on Sadoff Hill
  • Lighting for evening programming
  • A branded game day experience
