Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Reporting- Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students 

1) We acknowledge that Ripon College has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

(2) Ripon College will receive $1,671,400.00  from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

(3) The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs as of the date of submission:

  1. CRRSAA: $454,392 have been awarded to date.
  2. ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4): $632,845 have been awarded to date.

(4) As of September 2021, there are 793 students at the institution that are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

(5) As of September 30, 2021:

  1. 581 students have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CRSSA Act.
  2. 793 students  have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under the ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

(6) The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

  1. CRRSAA:  We awarded emergency grants to 581 of the 709 eligible students (82%) based upon levels of need as described below.  To be eligible for this award, students must be full-time, degree-seeking, Title IV-eligible, registered for Spring 2021 semester, and meet the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) levels indicated.
  • Students who have an EFC of less than or equal to $5,711 (Pell-eligible) will receive $1,013.
  • Students who have an EFC of greater than $5,711 but less than or equal to $16,249 will receive $709.
  • Students who have an EFC of greater than $16,249 but less than or equal to $30,000 will receive $405.
  1. ARP:

The  amount of award, which will be determined by  expected family contribution (EFC) from financial aid, is as follows:

(7) Students received, via email, the following  instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants:  

The law requires that we prioritize grants to students with exceptional need, such as students who receive Pell Grants.  All students will receive some funds from this program, based on need as reported to the office of financial aid.  

These funds may be used for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or child care.
