Located on the first level of Lane Library, the new Franzen Center for Academic Success continues the effort to better coordinate student tutoring services, improve resource allocation and provide more visible offerings for all students seeking tutoring at Ripon College.
The centralization of all academic support services ensures students have easy access to resources, and allows Ripon College to meet student demand for these services. The Franzen Center offers the following academic resources for students: Contracted tutoring, Quantitative Drop-in Tutoring, Peer Led Undergraduate Study (PLUS) and Writing/Presentation Tutoring.
The Center, named after Mark and Janice Franzen ’83, is a state-of-the-art learning environment dedicated to the support of tutoring, collaboration and studying on campus. Beginning in Fall 2019, the Franzen Center for Academic Success houses all campus academic support offerings under the direction of Brenda Gabrielson. Highly trained student tutors compose the staff of the Center.
