Director of Prospect Management and Research
Ripon College is seeking applications for a Director of Prospect Management and Research. The incoming Director will join a high-performing Advancement team in the midst of the silent phase of the College’s next comprehensive campaign. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development and Operations, the Director of Prospect Management and Research will serve as the primary coordinator and manager of the moves management process for individuals identified as potential annual, major, planned gift, corporate and foundation donors. The Director will conduct pro-active research to identify individuals to be assigned to gift officers and added to a cultivation process that is driven strategically to move the prospect through the cycle of fundraising.
Candidates should exhibit an appreciation for the liberal arts, possess solid oral, written and interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of maintaining a moves management database. The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of research methods and private foundations associated with fundraising for a non-profit institution, or online research skills in another capacity.
Candidates must possess outstanding critical thinking skills as well as the ability to analyze and interpret complex business and financial data and philanthropic information. A bachelor degree is required, with at least three years of increasingly responsible experience in institutional advancement, prospect management in higher education, or relatable experience.
This position has the potential to be served in a hybrid or fully remote work environment.
