Karl Rove to Speak at Ripon College
Ripon College Republicans and Pre-Law Society, with support from the Young Americans Foundation, are proud to present Karl Rove to speak at Ripon College on Wednesday, February 6, at 4:15 p.m. in Harwood Memorial Union’s Great Hall (300 W. Seward St, Ripon, WI 54971). A meet and greet will follow shortly afterwards from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Lounge.
“We are proud to host a speaker of Karl Rove’s reputation here on our campus, and excited to listen to his speech,” said Matthew Rohrbeck (’13), senior adviser of the Ripon College Republicans and lead organizer of the Karl Rove event. “His knowledge, expertise, and personal experience will enrich the Ripon College community and our proud historical legacy as a liberal arts institution.”
Rove will offer his analysis on the 2012 presidential election and speak on the importance of campus activism with a particular emphasis on ways young Americans can and should become engaged in current events and active in the political process.
Karl Rove served as Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush and Deputy Chief of Staff. For his service on President Bush’s election and re-election campaigns, he has become known as “The Architect.” Mr. Rove is now a Fox News contributor and is also the writer of a weekly op-ed for the Wall Street Journal. He is the author of the New York Times Bestseller, “Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight.” He is known as a dynamic speaker with extensive knowledge on the American election system and political landscape.
