Johnson set for 300th career win

julie-johnsonAfter Tuesday’s 56-38 win at Lawrence University, Ripon College’s women’s basketball head coach Julie Johnson now needs one more victory to become just the fourth coach in Midwest Conference history to win 300 career games. Her first chance to reach that milestone comes in Saturday’s home game against Grinnell, beginning at 1 p.m.

With a Ripon victory that day, Johnson also would become the fourth coach ever to win 200 Midwest Conference games. Johnson currently has a career record of 299-233 for a winning percentage of .562. Saturday’s game against Grinnell also will serve as Ripon’s annual Alumni Day, with the women’s Alumni Game beginning at 9:45 a.m.
