Concerts scheduled next week at Ripon College
Two concerts are planned during the next week at Ripon College. Both will be presented in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, and admission is free.
Wind Ensemble will perform at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, April 14.
Collegium Musicum , a vocal ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19. Selections will include three works by John Downland: “What if I Never Speede,” “Wilt thou, unkind” and “Toss not my Soul.”
Other selections will be “Four arms, two necks, one wreathing,” by Thomas Weelkes; “Three Elizabethan partsongs,” by Ralph Vaughan Williams; “Mille regretz,” by Josquin des Prez: “Tant que vivray,” by Claudin de Sermisy; “Chansons francaises,” by Francis Poulenc; and “Six Chansons on Original French Poems by Rainer Maria Rilke,” by Paul Hindemith.
