Jennifer Machacek Named Vice President for Enrollment

Jennifer MachacekJennifer Machacek, a senior admission official at Marquette University with nearly 20 years of experience in post-secondary enrollment management, has been selected as Ripon College’s new vice president of enrollment. Her official start date is August 1.

Machacek has served as Marquette’s associate dean of undergraduate admission since 2001, responsible for directing day-to-day office operations and all off-campus recruitment activities, chairing the admissions review committee and helping to plan financial aid awards for the 12,000-student Catholic and Jesuit university in Milwaukee. She previously served as director of admission (1999-2001) and assistant dean of admission (1998-1999) for Ripon College, and prior to that held counselor roles in the admission offices of Marquette University and Alverno College.

She served as executive director of the Wisconsin Education Fairs from 2003-2013, and will continue her involvement as a member of their executive board.

Machacek’s selection follows a nationwide search that included candidate presentations and interviews with faculty, staff and students.

“I am so pleased to welcome Jennifer back to our campus community,” said Zach Messitte, president of Ripon College. “She understands the value of a liberal arts and sciences degree and has the expertise and skills to communicate to prospective students what makes Ripon College a unique place to study, learn and live.”

In her new role, Machacek will lead Ripon’s offices of admission and financial aid. As a member of the senior administrative team, she will provide strategic leadership and fiscal oversight of student recruitment and financial aid processes, and help to further cultivate relationships between the College and degree-seeking students, their parents and a broad network of high school counselors.

“I am delighted to be joining the Ripon campus community,” said Machacek. “I believe that the College and the community have so many great things to offer students. I look forward to being a part of the team that promotes why Ripon College is such a wonderful school to attend.”

Machacek has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s of business administration from Marquette University.
