Ripon College and St. Norbert Presidents Reflect on Scholar Athletes
Last weekend, Ripon College President Zach Messitte and St. Norbert College President Thomas Kunkel collaborated on an opinion piece for the Wisconsin State Journal: “True student athletes are in Division III.”

Written in advance of the Ripon College football game at St. Norbert, the two presidents express pride in the sportsmanlike rivalry of their two schools and in their mutual commitment to the academic development of student athletes. They also reflect on the problems prevalent in Division-I athletics.
