Guitar recital set for March 29 at Ripon College
A senior guitar recital presented by Donald Malchow of Ripon will begin at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, March 29, in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, at Ripon College. Admission to the recital is free.
Malchow will perform the following works from the Renaissance, Baroque, classical and 20th-century eras: “Diferencias sobre ‘Guárdame las vacas,” by Luys de Narváez; “Fantasia X,” by Alonso Mudarra; “Canarios,” by Gaspar Sanz’ “Variations sur les ‘Folies d’Espagne,” op. 45, by Mauro Giuliani; “Prelude, Fugue and Allegro,” by Johann Sebastian Bach; “Caprice,” by Luigi Legnani; “Julia Florida,” by – Augstin Barrios; and “Tiento Antiguo,” by Joaquin Rodrigo.
