Ripon Summer Players sets auditions for 18th season
Hitchcock meets hilarious when the Ripon Summer Players present the wonderfully theatrical spy spoof, “The 39 Steps.” Open auditions and crew call for this Tony Award-winning comedy will be held Tuesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 24, from 7- 9 PM in Benstead Theatre, Rodman Center for the Arts, on the Ripon College campus. No prior acting or technical theatre experience is required.
“The 39 Steps” will be performed May 30 through June 1. The play has more than 100 parts that can be played by a cast of four up to a cast of 40. There are parts for both men and women. The age range of the characters can be from 17 to 80.
Scripts are on reserve at the Ripon Public Library and Ripon College’s Lane Library. The Ripon Summer Players is sponsored by Ripon Noon Kiwanis and the Ripon College Theatre Department. For more information, call Ken Hill at 920-748-8136.
