Collegium Musicum performs April 25
The Ripon College Collegium Musicum, a mixed-voice chamber group that specializes in performing music written before 1750, will perform “Songs of the Sea” Friday, April 25. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, on the Ripon College campus. Admission is free.
Sarah Kraaz, professor of music, directs the ensemble.
Selections will include works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, traditional Swedish and Bahamian, William Billings, Gwyneth Walker, Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner, Eric Whitacre, Godfrey Marks and others.
Soloists will be sophomore JaneMarie Erickson of Redgranite, Wis., and senior Samantha Angell ’14 of Reeseville, Wis., sopranos; and senior Daniel Miles of Milwaukee, Wis., baritone.
