Outgoing Congressman Tom Petri to visit campus, Nov. 24
Special guest Congressman Tom Petri will join a discussion, “What is the New Center at Ripon College?” Monday, Nov. 24, on the campus. The session will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Great Hall, Harwood Memorial Union. There is no charge to attend, and members of the general public are welcome.
The discussion is sponsored by the new Center for Politics and the People at Ripon College, which seeks to promote constructive political debate by informing students, the community and citizens concerned with good governance in politics and public policy.
During the presentation, officials from the center will share their vision for the new center and upcoming programming. Petri will reflect on his 35-year career in Congress and discuss his views about civic engagement.
