International Fair highlights cultures Nov. 24
An International Fair will be held during the Golden Hour, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Nov. 24 in Great Hall, Harwood Memorial Union.
Many Ripon College students say they have not been exposed to the various cultures represented at Ripon College, says Kyonna Withers, director of multicultural affairs. “This event will be a meaningful introduction to appreciation of cultural diversity and flavors which are in their daily endeavors throughout campus and in the global world after graduation.”
She says developing multicultural competency in an academic environment is the main goal of the event.
Participants will display items that culturally represent their heritage, including display boards, books, paintings, music, clothing, jewelry, artifacts, paraphernalia, costs to ship items, and other meaningful materials.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
