Symphonic Wind Ensemble to perform Nov. 19
The Ripon College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19. The concert will be in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. Professor of Music Kurt Dietrich is the conductor.
The program will feature H. Owen Reed’s band classic “La Fiesta Mexicana.” Other selections will include “Nobles of the Mystic Shrine,” a march by John Philip Sousa; and three contemporary works for band: “I Am,” by Andrew Boysen; “A Movement for Rosa,” honoring civil rights heroine Rosa Parks, by Mark Camphouse; and “Sheltering Sky,” by John Mackey.
