Wind, jazz ensembles to perform Pops Concert Wednesday

The Ripon College Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble will perform their annual Pops Concert Wednesday, May 8. The concert will begin at 5 p.m. Because of the forecasted rain, the performance will be in S.N. Pickard Commons.

Each group will play lighter works they have performed during the course of the year, with a few additions. Ripon College senior music major Kate Myszewski of Green Bay, Wisconsin, will conduct one piece with the Wind Ensemble.

Kurt Dietrich, professor of music and the Barbara Baldwin De Frees Chair in the Performing Arts, directs both groups.

The performance is free and open to the public. Supper will be available for purchase.
