Closing reception will be held Aug. 2 in Milwaukee for Rafael Francisco Salas exhibit
A closing reception for the exhibit “Rafael Francisco Salas: For God and Country” will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Portrait Society Gallery, 207 E. Buffalo St., fifth floor, in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward district. The event is free, food and drinks will be available, and Salas will talk at 7 p.m.
Salas is associate professor of art at Ripon College. The solo exhibition was two years in the making. More than 40 paintings, works on paper and objects touching on issues of rural America, immigration and personal history.
