We’re still here: Karyssa Castillo-Kinney ’20

Karyssa Castillo-Kinney ’20 of Neenah, Wisconsin, is philosophical about finishing her final semester at Ripon College off-campus. “I have simply accepted it as it is,” she says. “It is stressful, but it is for the best and nothing can be done about it.”

Castillo-Kinney is majoring in psychology and minoring in philosophy. In the fall, she will be attending St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to pursue a master’s degree in behavior analysis.

She says she has learned from Ripon that “it is very important to remember that no matter the authority one may seem to have over you, they are still a person, so treat them as such (a spin off of ‘professors are people, too’).”
