Sarah Frohardt-Lane, associate professor of history and director of the Environmental Studies Program, had an article, “Desegregating Birmingham’s Buses: African Americans’ Protracted Struggle and White ‘Civil’ Resistance,” published in the Journal of Southern History in May 2020.
