Guy Henshaw ’68, Susan Siegel Henshaw ’68 receive Medal of Merit

Guy Runals Henshaw ’68 and Susan Siegel Henshaw ’68 of Danville, California, received Ripon College’s Medal of Merit at the Commencement ceremony Sunday. Their commitment to Ripon College spans more than half a century of service and includes Guy’s two decades as a member of the Board of Trustees, their active engagement with the Class of 1968 and their continued contributions at the benefactor level to the college’s endowment, infrastructure improvements and the Ripon Fund.

In the recorded acceptance speech (viewable below), Guy Henshaw expressed the couple’s deep gratitude for the education and mentorship they’ve received from the College.

“Ripon and the study of the liberal arts laid a foundation for my educational life,” he said. “… I’ve always felt that the liberal arts education was timeless and vital for the well-being and growth of an individual and, for that matter, our society.”
