Megan Gannon honored with Faculty/Staff Mentor Award
At this spring’s Awards Convocation, Associate Professor of English Megan Gannon received the Faculty/Staff Mentor Award.
Sara VanSteenbergen, director of student activities and orientation, says selections are made based on contributions to the success and growth of a student involvement opportunity.
“As the Parallax advisor, (Megan Gannon) guided the editorial board through a busy year, including the standard publication of the literary magazine for 2021, but also the delayed publication of the magazine from 2020,” VanSteenbergen says. “She has cultivated a genuine, nurturing and supportive relationship with the student leaders of Parallax while ensuring that they remain in the driver’s seat of their organizational experience.”
