Ripon College referenced in Inside Higher Education

Ripon College was referenced in an article July 7 in Inside Higher Education. While primarily focused on an initiative at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York, “A Welcome Wagon in Uncertain Times” also gives examples of efforts other institutions of higher education are doing to  bring a hands-on, “personal touch” to their work on campus.

Ripon President Zach Messitte is cited for sending personalized, handwritten letters to prospective students.

“These efforts at connecting with students — and being seen as more approachable and accessible — are all the more popular, and appreciated, at a time when many students say they feel isolated from their campuses,” the article states.
