Angelique Gianas Fong ’95 honored as 21st Duck of the Anaheim Ducks
A new video honoring Angelique Gianas Fong ’95 of Mission Viejo, California, has been posted by the Anaheim Ducks, a professional team that competes in the Western Conference of the National Hockey League.
Each season, the team creates a spot on their opening night roster for the 21st Duck, honoring a fan “who embodies characteristics such as great perseverance, character, courage, inspiration or a fan who is making significant contributions to our community.”
Fong was honored at the opening of the 2021-2022 season.
The Ducks stated, “A two-time breast cancer survivor, Angelique tackled her diagnosis with bravery and determination. Turning her journey into an opportunity to help others, Fong created her ‘Radiate Kindness’ initiative with 33 random acts of kindness, one for each of her radiation treatments.”
The tribute video can be viewed here.
