Welcome to Mary Belling, director of health services
Mary Belling has joined Ripon College as the new director of health services. She has assumed the previous office hours on the third floor of Bartlett, continuing to be assisted by Nurse Practitioner Julie Felix who will be present two mornings a week.
Belling is originally from the Ripon area and received her degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. While she was a student, she worked at Ripon Hospital and at a local assisted living home to gain experience. After working in Appleton and Neenah for four years, she returned to Ripon. Before joining Ripon College in January, she worked at Thedacare Berlin and most recently at SSM Health at Work in Ripon.
Her nursing background includes anticoagulation, obstetrical and orthopedic/surgical experience. She is well-versed in overall patient care services, including developing individualized care plans.
“I have always enjoyed helping others and interacting with people,” Belling says. “I genuinely care about others and want the best for them. Being a nurse allows me to do this and has been very rewarding! At Ripon College, I hope to provide a safe environment where students and staff feel comfortable coming when they are not feeling well for treatment. I hope to educate the students and promote healthy living so as they continue on in life, they are better equipped to care for themselves.”
Outside of work, Belling enjoys walking/biking/running/hiking, traveling and horseback riding.
