Rafael Francisco Salas publishes two new articles
Rafael Francisco Salas, professor of art and chair of the Department of Art and Art History, has had two articles published recently.
“Milwaukee Streetwear Brand Wins National Attention: Creators of Unfinished Legacy are a stunning success, with a new shop in Third Ward,” is a profile of an expanding clothing and design brand, and was published by Urban Milwaukee.
“The Madeleine Moment: A Review of “Florence/Somerset” at Alice Wilds Gallery” is a review of an art exhibit published by Newcity Art Chicago.
“Art criticism holds art in its highest regard. It acknowledges the utopian ideal of art and discusses that ideal in terms of aspiration, or movement towards that aspiration,” Salas says. “I write criticism to explain my discipline to others, and to celebrate art and artists.”
