Articulation agreement reached with Ripon College and Moraine Park Technical College

Ripon College and Moraine Park Technical College have signed an articulation agreement allowing students pursuing Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) liberal arts degrees at Moraine Park to seamlessly transfer and continue their education at Ripon College with confirmed junior status.

The agreement was signed by Ripon College President Victoria N. Folse and Moraine Park President Bonnie Baerwald.

“Our goal is to provide an education that works best for the students we serve,” said Doug Hamm, vice president of teaching and learning at Moraine Park. “This agreement with Ripon College provides a wonderful opportunity for Moraine Park students to articulate to a premier institution of higher education in our district. We look forward to more collaboration with Ripon College moving forward.”

Upon completion of either the AA or AS degree at Moraine Park, Ripon College will transfer a minimum of 60 credits to Ripon. All credits earned as part of the AA or AS degree will be transferred and credits outside those curricula will be evaluated individually. With the successful completion of Ripon College’s Catalyst 300- Collaborative Capstone and having satisfied minimum GPA standards, students will have satisfied all requirements of Ripon College’s Catalyst Curriculum applicable toward a four-year program.

Moraine Park Technical College and Ripon College will work collaboratively to provide student support in the areas of advising and transfer of credits and credentials.

Moraine Park has similar agreements in place with the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee and Lakeland University.

“Ripon collaborated with Moraine Park on this agreement in order to help address the educational needs of the region,” said John Sisko, vice president and dean of faculty at Ripon College. “Moraine Park students, with the Associates of Art or Associates of Science degree, now will have a smooth transition to the pursuit of bachelor’s degrees at Ripon College. This agreement is one step in a larger plan to make Ripon College a more transfer-friendly institution.”
