Lillian Brown to appear in play in Sturgeon Bay July 17 through Aug. 18

Assistant Professor of Theatre Lillian Brown will appear in the play “Jeeves Saves the Day,” by Margaret Raether, July 17 through Aug. 18 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

The play is being produced by Third Avenue Playworks, a professional theatre company located at 239 N 3rd Ave.

The “fizzy, family-friendly fun-fest” is about the lovably loopy Bertie Wooster who finds himself suffering the slings and arrows of misfortune at the hands of his relatives, caught between the masterful machinations of his fierce Aunt Agatha and the plaintive pleadings of his cousin Egbert. The ever-faithful manservant Jeeves attempts to rescue the bumbling Bertie from himself.

Brown’s character is Red Hot Maisie Dawson (the Jazz Singer).
