Award-winning Mexican guitarist Christopher Avilez performing at Ripon College
RIPON, Wisconsin – Award-winning Mexican guitarist Christopher Avilez will present a recital at Ripon College at 7 p.m. in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts on Friday, Oct. 11.
Avilez has gained international recognition, enjoying recent performances in Germany, Andorra, Austria, and Belgium. His five albums highlight his range as a performer, with recorded works spanning from unpublished works of the Classical era to newly composed pieces for guitar and jazz piano.
In addition to his evening recital, he will lead a masterclass earlier in the day with Ripon College guitar students.
This performance is part of the 2024-25 Chamber Music & Jazz at Ripon series. All events in the series are free and open to the public courtesy of donations through Ripon College’s Friends of the Arts.
