Audra Hoffmann named Ripon College’s vice president for finance
RIPON, Wisconsin – Dr. Audra Hoffmann has been appointed as Ripon College’s new vice president for finance, bringing more than 20 years of experience to her position effective Dec. 16.
Hoffmann most recently served as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, where she specialized in capital planning, as well as strategic and financial modeling.
Her higher education qualifications include a Doctor of Health Administration, Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Central Michigan University, a Master of Business Administration from Concordia University-Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Accounting from UW-La Crosse.
In her new role at Ripon College, Hoffmann plans to lead the College’s financial strategy with the student experience at the forefront, aiming to introduce a fresh perspective to revenue generation and to attract more students to the campus.
“It is an honor to be selected to serve as Ripon College’s next vice president for finance,” Hoffmann said. “I am a lifelong learner and a servant leader. The mission of Ripon College closely aligns with my personal values.”
Hoffmann said she strongly believes in the importance of the liberal arts core curriculum.
“The world is changing at such a critical pace, and students need to develop and grow that skill,” Hoffmann said. “Creativity and innovation are muscles that haven’t been exercised for a while. The education students get at Ripon College helps to build that muscle. I’m beyond excited to be a part of a college that fully leans into that concept.”
Hoffmann, her husband and three children are members of the greater Fond du Lac community, with strong family ties to the city of Ripon. She is invested in the College’s success, as it’s an important pillar in the Ripon community.
“I have a strong desire to always serve within the community in which I live, to make that community thrive,” Hoffmann said.
Hoffmann is actively engaged in her community as a board member of the Wisconsin Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) chapter, chair for the Women in Healthcare Leadership Conference, board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac and former board member and treasurer of Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund.
“There’s such a pride in the Ripon community between the alumni, faculty and staff,” Hoffmann said. “I’m eager to explore how I can contribute and share my insights to support Ripon’s continued growth and success.”
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Audra Hoffmann to Ripon College,” Ripon College President Victoria N. Folse said. “She is a bold leader who will be a valuable thought partner and an important member of our executive leadership team.”
Hoffmann is succeeding former Vice President for Finance Steve Coan.
