Lauren Stae ’23 published as first author in academic journal

Students will be directing a diverse collection of one-act plays in the One-Act Play Festival in Benstead Theatre of Ripon College’s C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, at 7:30 p.m.
Each of the five plays runs between 10 to 30 minutes. The event is free and open to the public.
Title: “The House”
Directed by: Summer Schlieckau, senior
Synopsis: A client finds their perfect home and is surprised to discover a very important detail that the realtor “just happened” to leave out of the initial description. Comedy/horror.
Title: “It’s Cute Until You Disagree from The Nine Worst Breakups of All Time”
Directed by: Corinna Torres, junior
Synopsis: Eve is showing Katie the nine worst breakups of all time starting with Tina and Teddy, an overly cute couple.
Title: “Don’t Shoot the Messenger”
Directed by: Kinsley Kahl, junior
Synopsis: A mysterious man visits a woman in a coffee shop.
Title: “Separate Loads” by Jennie Webb
Directed by: Angelina Bahr, junior
Synopsis: A dark comedy about choices, actions and options. At the heart of Separate Loads is a couple contemplating an important decision.
Title: “The Man Who Can’t Dance”
Directed by: Benjamin Marn, senior
Synopsis: After seeing Gail’s newborn, Eric, her ex, comes clean that he can not dance and dancing was just another thing he could never provide her.
