“A Stone of Hope: Black Experiences in the Fox Cities” is on display through Feb. 15 at the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. It features area black history from the 1700s to the present. Traveling for two years, the exhibit is visiting area schools, churches, libraries, government buildings and community centers.
The exhibit includes 12 floor banners, each richly illustrated with photographs of individuals, businesses and events described in the narrative. It is organized by The History Museum at the Castle in Appleton.
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
