Several events continue Black History Month celebration this week:
- Feb. 15: Voter informational, 5 p.m. in the Pickard Dining Room, Commons. Don’t know how to vote, let alone whom to vote for? This event will inform you of all views and sides of important political issues and let you leave prepared and informed. This is co-sponsored with La Unida.
- Feb. 16: Diversity Town Hall, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at The Pub. Key stakeholders at the College are invited to hear what students have to say about diversity initiatives and efforts.
- Feb. 17: “Straight Talk,” 5:15 a.m. in room B12, S.N. Pickard Commons. This will be a know-your-rights question-and-answer session.
- Feb. 20: Black Student Union and Ripon Live present: “Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom,” 7 p.m. in Bear Auditorium, Farr Hall. This movie is about the remarkable life of South African revolutionary, president and world icon Nelson Mandela.
