Class of 2021: Julia Goeks
We celebrate the Class of 2021, what they have achieved during their years at Ripon and what they hope to achieve in the next chapter of their lives.
Julia Goeks ’21 of Lake Forest, Illinois, is majoring in chemistry and physics with a minor in mathematics. She will be attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to pursue a doctorate in materials science and engineering.
“My most important lesson from Ripon is that you don’t have to do something perfectly as long as you’re proud of it,” she says.
She says her favorite memory from Ripon is when “I had the opportunity to go stargazing on the roof of the library with SPS, which was amazing. It was a clear night, and through the telescope you could see the planets really clearly, moons, craters and all.”
