Class of 2021: Michael Cohoon

We celebrate the Class of 2021, what they have achieved during their years at Ripon and what they hope to achieve in the next chapter of their lives.

Michael Cohoon ’21 of Union Grove, Wisconsin, is majoring in sociology and politics and government, with a minor in American studies. He plans to work for local government after graduation.

“The most important lesson that I will take away from Ripon is to get involved and connected to your local community, because what happens in it shapes the future and affects us, even though we are only here for four years,” Cohoon says.

“My favorite memory was being able to coordinate and host a community service fair my sophomore year. Around 15 local nonprofit organizations came and provided students with knowledge about what they do and how to get involved.”
