Soprano Maria Reber will present her streamed senior recital May 5

Maria Reber ’21 of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, a soprano, will present her senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5. Because of the ongoing campus restrictions, the recital will be streamed at ripon.edu/live-events.

Deb MacKenzie, adjunct instructor of music, will be the accompanist.

Selections will explore the many aspects of love, from romantic love and longing to love of the world around us. They include: “Quatre chansons de jeunesse,” by Claude Debussy; “A Horse with Wings,” by Ricky Ian Gordon; “Ah! tardai troppo … O luce di quest’anima” from “Linda di Chamounix,” by Gaetano Donizetti; “Frauenliebe und Leben,” by Robert Schumann; and “My Ship” from “Lady in the Dark,” by Kurt Weill.

Reber is majoring in music with a minor in theatre. She will be taking a gap year before starting her master’s in music therapy program at Augsburg University.
