Class of 2021: Charlotte Tornee
We celebrate the Class of 2021, what they have achieved during their years at Ripon and what they hope to achieve in the next chapter of their lives.
Charlotte Tornee ’21 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is majoring in psychobiology. She plans to attend graduate school to obtain a degree in nursing. She is awaiting admission decisions on schools in Texas and Massachusetts.
“The most important lesson that I learned while at Ripon was that people change over time and you cannot expect someone to be the same person they were when they first started college and when they are in college,” Tornee says. “People will come in and out of your life, but only the really important ones stay.”
She says her favorite memory from Ripon is her time studying abroad. “I traveled to Wales (in the spring of 2020). While COVID cut my time short, I was able to see family I haven’t seen in years as well as to expand my language and cultural experiences.”
