Ripon College welcomes Dante A.C. Houston ’01 to the Board of Trustees

This week, Ripon College is honoring and welcoming the new members of the Board of Trustees. The board will meet on campus this week.

Dante A. C. Houston ‘01 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has been elected as a Trustee of Ripon College, effective July 1, 2021. He is the client delivery manager at AMN Healthcare.

Houston has held positions in talent acquisition and recruiting at Titus Talent Strategies, Johnson Controls, MRA and Miller Coors Brewing Co. In the community, he serves as an advisory council member of Milwaukee Repertory Theater, co-chair of Career Cluster for YMCA Black Achievers and a recipient of the 2010 Adult Black Achiever of the Year, a founding member of FUEL and a participant in United Way.

At Ripon, he majored in speech and psychology, and he received a master’s degree in organization development and instructional design from Alverno College.

For Ripon, he served on the Alumni Board from 2005 until 2013, including two years as president. He is completing his term as Alumni Trustee after serving from 2018 to 2021. He also has participated in the annual Alumni Speakers Series and has hosted and participated in regional events. Houston is a member of Theta Chi fraternity and has served as alumnus advisor, he has served as a class agent and he is a member of Partners in the Legacy.

His family includes his wife, Jennifer Adam Houston; and children Gianna and Annalise.

“Ripon is the best liberal arts college the Midwest has to offer,” Houston says, and he wants to continue to engage and encourage other alumni to engage. “I want to ensure that future generations have a quality liberal arts education, as well,” he says.

“Seeing the impact that I could have on the College and the ability to contribute excited me into taking the next steps. One always imagines what’s next? How can I contribute? I want to help find ways we can continue to expand the liberal arts reach.”
