Casey Gott ’14 and her work on behalf of Indigenous people featured

Casey Gott ’14 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was featured on the website of Milwaukee’s Hunger Task Force on Monday, Oct. 11. “Hunger Task Force honors Indigenous Peoples’ Day: Casey Gott reflects on family heritage” describes Gott’s heritage as a member of the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation, her work as a staff member of the Hunger Task Force and her continuous involvement supporting and advocating for Native communities and Indigenous people in Milwaukee and across Wisconsin.

She has done work in nonprofits at various mission-driven organizations, including working as a substitute teacher at the Indian Community School, a private, faith-based school serving approximately 361 intertribal American Indian students from 15 different Tribal backgrounds. She attended the school from kindergarten through eighth grade.

At Ripon, Gott majored in English with minors in Spanish and sociology.
