Christopher T. Wood showing work at Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee Friday

Adjunct Instructor of Digital Art Christopher T. Wood is a candidate for the prestigious Pfister Hotel Artist-in-Residence in Milwaukee. Candidates for the award will have their work on display in the Pfister during Gallery Night and Day in Milwaukee from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21.

The Pfister Hotel Artist-In-Residence program has been recognized locally, nationally and internationally. It is an opportunity for an artist to connect to a community of guests. The working studio and art gallery is open to the public on the first floor of Milwaukee’s oldest and most prestigious hotel. Visitors can interact with the artist while watching the evolution of each piece of work firsthand. Current and past featured artists include Timothy Westbrook (2012-2013), who appeared on the 12th season of the Lifetime television show “Project Runway”; and Shelby Keefe (2011-2012), whose work was featured on the cover of the September 2013 issue of PleinAir Magazine.

In additional to his position at Ripon, Wood is an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, associate lecturer at Peck School of the Arts and lecturer at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, all in Milwaukee.
