Class of 2022: Madelyn Kohn ’22

We celebrate the Class of 2022, what they have achieved during their years at Ripon and what they hope to achieve in the next chapter of their lives.

Madelyn Kohn ’22 of Kingston, Wisconsin, has a double major in sports management and communication. She has been accepted into the master’s in marketing program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and will start there in July.

At Ripon, she says, “I learned the importance of hard work and determination. I will be graduating from Ripon with a double major in three years instead of four. During my three years, I have not only been on the Dean’s List, but also have been a basketball coach for junior varsity girls at Randolph High School and work at National Exchange Bank in Kingston. I was able to do all of these things because I am determined and confident in my capabilities.”

She says her favorite member from her time at Ripon is her first day of classes. “I transferred into Ripon after an interesting first semester of college,” she says. “I had a scholarship to play volleyball at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, but due to shoulder surgery I had to come closer to home where my doctors were. So, without even visiting Ripon College, I decided to transfer here because my dad, Andy Kohn ’98, is an alumnus of Ripon College and he knew that I would love the campus and the people. It has been such an amazing experience, and I love all the people whom I have met along the way!”
