Lydia Wiley Deal ’22 to present flute recital April 9

Lydia Wiley Deal ’22 of Whitewater, Wisconsin, will perform a senior recital Saturday, April 9, at Ripon College. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. Admission is free.

Selections to be performed include Sonata for Flute in E Minor, by J.S. Bach; Sonata for Flute and Piano, by Francis Poulenc; “Dialogo Angelico for Two Flutes,” by Goffredo Petrassi, performed with Dr. Marc Sackman; and “Cantabile et Presto,” by Georges Enesco.

The accompanist will be Visiting Instructor of Music Deb MacKenzie, piano.

Wiley Deal is pursuing majors in music education and physics with a minor in mathematics. She is a member of the College’s instrumental and vocal performing ensembles, plays for musicals and directs the children’s music ministry at the First Congregational Church of Ripon.
