Class of 2022: Lillian Kopplin ’22

We celebrate the Class of 2022, what they have achieved during their years at Ripon and what they hope to achieve in the next chapter of their lives.

Lillian Kopplin ’22 of Greendale, Wisconsin, majored in communication with a minor in history. She hopes to work in public relations and marketing with a focus on corporate communications. “I am also very eager to travel as well as start my career, so I am looking for opportunities in other parts of the country as well as Wisconsin,” she says.

“The most important lesson I learned at Ripon College that I’ll be taking with me into my post-college life is the essentiality of connections and trust. Trust is essential to establishing and keeping a strong relationship with others and ensuring that you are someone they will give responsibility to, especially in a professional situation. Be trustworthy, be honest, take responsibility and learn from your mistakes, and continue that mindset with any connections you may make in college and outside of it.”

She says she has many special memories from her time at Ripon, but one that stands out is from this final semester. “I’ve had the opportunity to become closer with fellow students, both in my living block but also within other organizations I’m a member of,” she says. “I’ve always been a very social person, so improving and starting those friendships with so many amazing people truly makes me so happy.”
