Auditions for two fall theatre productions to be held Aug. 29 and 30

The Ripon College Department of Theatre will hold open auditions and crew call Aug. 29 and 30 for plays scheduled for the fall semester. The event will be held from 7-9 p.m. both days in Benstead Theatre, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. No acting or crew experience is necessary. Anyone with an interest in theatre, including first-years and non-majors, are encouraged to attend.

The plays are:

  • “The Wolves,” by Sarah Delappe, to be presented Oct. 19-22. The coming-of-age drama includes nine women and is about an all-girls soccer team tossed into the chaos of teenage self-discovery.
  •
  • “The Tin Woman,” by Sean Grennan, to be presented Nov. 15-18. The cast includes four women and two men. “If I only had a heart!” Got one. Now what? Based on a true story.

Full copies of the scripts are available at the Lane Library circulation desk. Nothing has to be memorized to audition.

Questions may be directed to Assistant Professor of Theatre Lillian Brown.

To indicate an interest in acting or working on the crew, fill out the form here.
