Ripon College choirs will perform Sunday
A choral concert presented by the Ripon College Choirs — Concert Choir, Choral Union and Chamber Singers — will begin at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. Admission is free and open to the public.
The concert will showcase music from various cultures and eras. The performance will conclude with all the choirs singing together. Highlights include two student conductors, Valerie Bruce ’25 of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, and Owen Mehring ’25 of Waterford, Wisconsin, leading the Concert Choir on some numbers.
Selections will be by Verdi, Salieri, Leonin, Witacre and Gjeilo.
Paul Thompson, assistant professor of music, is the conductor, and Deb MacKenzie, adjunct instructor of music, is the pianist.
