Sarah Lloyd, candidate for 6th Congressional District, to speak Sept. 20 at Ripon College

Sarah Lloyd, a Democratic candidate for Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District, will speak Tuesday, Sept. 20, on the Ripon College campus. The talk will run from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. in Todd Wehr Hall 104, and is sponsored by the College’s Center for Politics and the People.

Lloyd is known for her work for farmers and rural Wisconsin. A farmer herself, she runs a 400-cow dairy operation with her husband in Columbia County.

Lloyd has served as a member of the Columbia County Board and is both a national and state leader concerning rural development and food policy. She also has served the Wisconsin Farmers Union for many years and is a representative for Wisconsin’s dairy farmers on the National Dairy Board and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. She also serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s College of Natural Resources as well as the Citizens Advisory Committee for UW-Madison’s Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems.
