Ripon College’s theatre department to present “Cabaret Night” Nov. 22-23

Ripon College’s theatre department is presenting a “Cabaret Night” variety show in the Benstead Theatre in the C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m.

The two nights will include a variety of acts including music, dance, theatre, spoken word, poetry and stand-up comedy. Both students and faculty will be performing.

The set list includes: 

  1. “The Syndicate” by Derivakat performed by senior Paige Brandsma 
  2. “Web of Feelings” written by sophomore Laura Zittlow and performed by sophomore Nolan Moore and junior Corrina Torres 
  3. “Almost There” from Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog” performed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Lillian Brown 
  4. “Discovery on LSD Hill” written by Zittlow and performed by Torres and junior Angelina Bahr 
  5. Three poems written and read by Wisconsin’s Own Library Poet-in-Residence Max Schleicher 
  6. “On My Own” from “Le Miserable” performed by sophomore Justine Orvik 
  7. Selection from “Proof” by David Auburn performed by first-year students Glitch Beck and Jazmin Gomez 
  8. “For Good” from “Wicked” performed by seniors Summer Schlieckau and Lucie Petri-Rose 

“It’s imperative that Ripon supports the arts community on campus,” Assistant Professor of Theatre Lillian Brown said. “Art enriches our lives by broadening our perspectives, fostering creativity and building our community. It will be a fizzling, fun-fest: truly a night to remember.”
