Ripon College Wind Ensemble will perform Nov. 20

The 60-piece Ripon College Symphonic Wind Ensemble, directed by Professor of Music Kurt Dietrich, will present its fall concert Nov. 20. The program will begin at 3:15 p.m. in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, on the campus.

The program will feature significant works for band from the 20th and 21st centuries. They include Clifton Williams’ Dedicatory Overture; Gustav Holst’s First Suite in E-flat, one of the signature works of the band repertory; and Norman Dello Joio’s Fantasies on a Theme by Haydn.

The program will conclude with recent works by two of the most popular band composers working today: Eric Whitacre’s October and Frank Ticheli’s San Antonio Dances.
